SAPREF REFINERY TO UNDERGO PARTIAL MAINTENANCE TURNAROUND
The SAPREF refinery in Durban will undergo a partial maintenance turnaround from mid-August 2010 for about six weeks. The scope of work is mainly project related aimed at renewing equipment integrity, and some change out of catalyst will also be undertaken. Three process units will be affected.
The rest of the refinery will continue to operate as normal and there will be sufficient products to meet market demand during the turnaround period.
The cost of the turnaround will be about R180 million.
